The new search engine ChaCha with investors such as Jeff Bezos of Amazon fame is an interesting beast. The gimmick part of the site is the "Search with guide" feature. If you're having difficulty finding what you are searching for then you can ask a guide - and they will help you in your search. So I guess if you're too dumb to use Google then you can get one of their 'guides' to do the search for you???

Seems a little bit juvenile to me. Speaking of Juvenile, there's some very funny crank searches being done by people who try to spin the guides for as long as possible. One of my favourites is as follows:

You: Hi
RichardK: What would you like to know about chacha guides and search engines
You: I?m trying to figure out if ChaCha guides use Google for their searches when trying to help people, or if they actually use ChaCha
RichardK: Hmm well I use ChaCha for common searches, but Google for really hard to find stuff, since we are guides we then can categorize those websites so now ChaCha will come up with them
You: cool, thanks!
RichardK: So we sort of steal the best from google?

So the new chacha search engine guides use Google for the hard to find stuff since chacha is not good enough?
