According to dnScoop this website is worth a grand total of $500. Wow, I'm rich.

Did you know that Google is worth $1,959,900,000 - I'll buy it! And business.com which was bought for $7.5 million in 1999 is worth $365,664,800. Not a bad return on investment. What about sex.com which was sold for somewhere between $10 and $14 milllion US dollars - well according to dcScoop it's worth $15,103,400 - well what do you know, that one actually comes in close to what was paid.

dnScoop tries to value domain names based on a number of factors:
- Links pointing to the domain
- Age of the domain
- Pagerank of the domain
- Traffic to the domain
- and more...

I wonder what the "and more..." is. But I think they miss 1 very important thing, the content. Some content is worth more than others, no matter how many links you get or what your traffic is. Mind you for traffic they look at Alexa - hardly reliable.

I have another domain which is valued at $5,460 - there's no way I'd sell it for that!

Anyway, more an interesting toy rather than a really useful tool I'd say.
